21 Sep The Last Ecological Field Trip

Following meetings in Marrakesh, for now the last ecological field trip took place in September and October 2022, with the aim of collecting additional data from the confluences. However, only at two of four confluences the sampling of macroinvertebrates, algae and physico-chemical parameters was possible, as the other two were either dry or flooded just after a long period of drought, containing only a very few species of macroinvertebrates. Further sites were visited for a qualitative sampling of macroinvertebrates to search for specific species of Ephemeroptera. Additionally, an experiment was conducted, where eu- and prokaryotic microorganisms were sampled for 24 hours at a high and low flow site at the rivers Ounila and El Mellah.
